For 53.6 Million Metric Tons of E-Waste 2020 (eBay, Alibaba), 2009--2021, I focused on the ubiquitous presence of screen devices in our lives and the weight of their afterlife. It is estimated 53.6 million metric tons of e-waste was discarded in 2020 and only 12% of this was recycled. I collected of images of screen technology I found for sale on eBay and Alibaba, and aggregated the images to map the changes in these technologies and our relationship to them through time.
